Poster guidelines

Poster measurements

Posters will be on display at WHEC 2016 from the beginning to the end of the conference.

Additionally, there will be three Poster Sessions, where poster authors are requested to stand close to their posters in order to explain their communication.

Posters have been identified by a specific Poster Code (different to the abstract ID) which can be found in the Posters Database and in the programme of the conference. This Poster Code will be indicated on each poster wall at the venue.

Material to affix the posters to the poster wall will be provided.

Tips for designing a poster:

If it is the first time you confront a scientific and technical poster design or if you have any doubts about it, here you have some tips to take into account

  1. Poster layout design:

    • Title, author and address

    • Purpose or Objectives or Introduction

    • Methods

    • Results or Findings

    • Discussion

    • Summary or Conclusions

    • Acknowledgments

  2. Use bold typefaces to emphasize the title of the poster in order to enable a legible reading from a distance of 2–3 meters.

  3. Use charts, pictures and photographs to portray information and make the poster more attractrive to readers.

  4. Handouts can be distributed in order to provide extra information to delegates and promote your work.
