Mr Filip Smeets | Managing Director, On-site Generation - Hydrogenics

Since 2011 Filip Smeets is Managing Director of the Hydrogenics’ Belgian based On-Site Generation (OSG) business, a leading provider of hydrogen generation and refueling products for industrial, hydrogen fueling and energy storage applications. Previously Mr. Smeets was a General Manager with Cabot Corporation, a global performance materials company, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts USA. During his tenure at Cabot Corporation, Mr. Smeets held increasingly responsible positions in marketing and business leadership. He received his Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Antwerp and a Bachelor in Economics from the University of Hasselt. Hydrogenics is a worldwide leader designing, manufacturing, building and installing industrial and commercial Hydrogen Systems around the globe with over 60 years of experience.

Dr Simon Bourne | Chief Technology Officer - ITM Power

Simon joined ITM Power in 2002 and is now CTO, responsible for Research, Engineering and Production functions. Simon has been instrumental in the design and As lead technologist for the JTI funded Phaedrus project (high pressure electrolysis and 700bar refuelling) Simon has an active role in system analysis, cost modelling and product planning. Before joining ITM Power, Simon was a project engineer with Sonatest Plc and a researcher with the Ministry of Defence. Simon has a BSc Hons in Materials Science (UMIST) and a PhD (Cranfield).realisation of the companies electrolyser platform and has successfully project managed the delivery of the world’s first PEM Power-to-Gas system, currently operational in Frankfurt.

Gregor Waldstein (*1963): Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineering (ETH Zurich), MBA (INSEAD Fontainebleau). Industrial career at Semperit AG, Vienna. From 1995-2014, foundation and development of Superlas International GmbH into the world leader in its product segment. 2005-2007 Lignosol Technology GmbH, development of a process for converting lignocellulose into biofuel. From 2007, foundation and development of ETOGAS GmbH to become market leader in the Power-to-Gas sector.

Mr Everett Anderson | Vice President, Business Development - Technology & New Markets - Proton OnSite

Everett Anderson is Vice President of Business Development at Proton where he is in charge of identifying and quantifying new opportunities in the emerging markets for hydrogen. Primary focus is on hydrogen energy applications and Proton’s new megawatt-scale hydrogen generator. Previously, Mr. Anderson focused on strategic technology development and technology assessment as Vice President of Electrochemical Technology. Mr. Anderson joined Proton in 2000 and has more than 30 years of R&D experience in hydrogen and fuel cells. In addition to VP of Electrochemical Technology, he has served previous positions at Proton as Research Manager, Research Director and Director of Process and Materials Development. Prior to joining Proton Energy Systems, Mr. Anderson was the Manager of Electrochemical Technologies Group at Physical Sciences Inc., a contract R&D firm where he spent over 13 years conducting research in a variety of technologies. Mr. Anderson has been granted 6 U.S. patents.
