"Fuel Cells & Hydrogen joint undertaking (FCH-JU), taking Europe to the forefront" Mr Bart Biebuyck | Executive Director - Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) Bart Biebuyck graduated in 1998 from the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (NL) with a bachelor’s degree in “Automotive Engineering”. He joined Toyota Motor Europe (TME) in Jan. 1999, starting in the Powertrain Group. In 2003 he moved to Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan for the PSA-Toyota Small Vehicle Development Project. After Japan, he returned to TME as Project Leader for the first automatic T/M in a diesel passenger car for EU. In 2007 he became Manager for Easydrive T/M applications for Europe, responsible for the Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle trials in Europe. Hereafter he started the EU trials for the Toyota Fuel Cell in 2010 as part of the Clean Energy Partnership program in Berlin. In 2011 he became Senior Manager responsible for T/M applications for conventional & hybrid vehicles for EU. In this function he supervised the technical aspects of introducing new technologies such as PHV, FCHV and EV. In 2013 he became Technical Senior Manager of Fuel Cell Vehicle development. |

"Current Policy and R&D Activity on Hydrogen Energy in Japan" Mr Eiji Ohira | Director, New Energy Technology Department - New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) Graduated from the Tokyo University of Science and joined to the New Energy and Technology Development Organization (NEDO) in 1992. Dispatched to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a visiting scholar in 1997. Served in several positions, including Representative at NEDO Asian Representative Office, Director of the Energy Storage Technology Division, before taking up the current position in April 2013. Now serves as the Project Manager in charge of NEDO’s hydrogen and fuel cell technology R&D program. |

"Lessons Learned: Starting the Retail Market for FCEVs in California" Ms Chris White | Communications Director - California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP) For 11 years, Chris has led communications, outreach and marketing for the California Fuel Cell Partnership. She and her team have created some of the most-used outreach materials for FCEVs and hydrogen stations, including an award-winning social media campaign and a software system or hydrogen stations. For most of her career, she has created communications strategies for new technology products and for five years was a spokesperson for IBM. Chris is active in the West Sacramento community where she lives and works. |

"The State of Canada's Fuel Cell Industry--Successes and Challenges" Mr Eric Denhoff | President and Chief Executive Officer - Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (CHFCA) Eric Denhoff is a former Chief Negotiator for the Government of Canada; Deputy Minister for the Government of British Columbia and sits on the Board of the Energy Council of Canada and Foresight Clean Tech Accelerator. He has been in his current position for four years. |

“Supporting market ramp-up of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies” Dr Klaus Bonhoff | Managing Director - NOW GmbH National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Dr.-Ing. Klaus Bonhoff studied Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH Aachen, Germany and ENSTA, Paris, France. He finalized his PhD in energy process engineering at the Research Center Jülich, Ballard Power System GmbH and DaimlerChrysler AG. Since February 2008 he is Managing Director (chair) of Now GmbH National Organization Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology. Dr. Bonhoff is a member of various Advisory Boards of organizations in the field of energy technologies. |
